In 2001 Brooks sponsored athlete Daryl Howe completed his first ever marathon at Rottnest Island in Perth . He is the first person in history with classification C6 Cerebral Palsy to ever run and complete a full marathon.

Daz makes his presence known around the globe - firstly in Australia participating in marathons, half marathons and fun runs across the country, next stop was the streets of Manhattan where Daz was a crowd favourite when he completed the New York Marathon in 2007 (see photo). Next month Daz takes another step on to the international stage when he will compete in the Two Oceans Ultra Marathon in Cape Town , South Africa .

Daz is currently training hard in the WA heat in order to compete in one of the toughest Marathon ’s in the world.

Daz is a true inspiration to all of us at Brooks; he is forever touching people’s hearts and inspiring everyone around him.
